Description

The Lunchbox Fund is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing daily meals to disadvantaged schoolchildren in South Africa.

Our task was to inspire and empower Americans to get actively involved in helping the Lunchbox Fund increase the number of children they feed.

Americans take millions of photos of their meals and share them online. So we leveraged that passion and created Feedie – a platform that converts food photos into donations to The Lunchbox Fund. So now when you share food photos, you share food.

The idea inspired famous chef Mario Batali, restaurateur and humanitarian, to volunteer as spokesperson. His celebrity influence and expertise in the restaurant industry enabled us to recruit a number of top restaurants to partner with the Feedie platform for its NYC launch.

With Americans spending nearly $2 billion in restaurants each day, Feedie is positioned to capture a portion of that, and reduce the number of hungry children throughout South Africa and beyond.

Over 6 million Americans using food apps, but only one has the power to feed the hungry.
