And through Indian music industry’s most versatile trio Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, we did that by revisiting the sleepless nights, countless retakes, unrecorded takes and endless hours of rehearsals it took to create the Dil Chahta Hai.

All to make the world feel the love, the passion, the fire and the hard work that goes in the making of a track.

Dil Chahta Hai is undoubtedly the greatest soundtrack of friendship for Indians. 21 years later, it is still on top of every road trip playlist, the song for every travel reel and the ode to true friendship.

And if Spotify had to relive the friendship of the three great maestros Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy creating magic, Dil Chahta Hai had to be the only choice of music.

We deconstructed the hit, beat by beat, rhythm by rhythm and set off on the journey of how it got made. Through endless jamming sessions, sleepless nights, the creative blocks and the epiphanies, the disagreements and the most important of all, the friendship, shared by the trio as they created the greatest friendship anthem of India

The song captured the friendship between three friends, and the film captured the beautiful partnership between the three creators who birthed the song with love, passion and unbound creativity.
