Description
We needed a spot that would ignite a craving for the Filet-o-Fish every day instead of just on Fridays during Lent. Oh, and we couldn’t use any dialogue because it had to run in English and Spanish. Enter Frankie, the infamous singing fish that spawned a million hits on YouTube, a following on Facebook, and a stint on the Rachael Ray show.
Execution

Outcome
What started out as a TV creative way to sell sandwiches, resulted in a smashing success for McDonald's and their Filet O' Fish sandwich. The song stayed in everyone's head for weeks, Frankie because a huge hit on the radio, in clubs, on the news, the Rachel Ray show and Facebook. We then created a sequel to the spot, and a toy fish that has since sold over 350,000 copies.
