When Quentin Tarantino visited the Philippines for the Cinemanila Film Festival, it was just right to excite his fans whenever they visit the filmfest’s website through a banner ad. But it wasn’t just an ordinary banner ad. It was a black rectangle with a copy “See Quentin Tarantino in the flesh” in reverse red. But in the true tradition of Tarantino’s films, when you mouse over the banner, a samurai sword comes out of nowhere and cuts the index finger of the cursor, and lets blood gush out and stain the whole page! Only then will the details of his visit be revealed. Talk about cut-through in advertising.(Note: The banner ad can only be viewed in PC since we were using DoubleClick rich media plugin)
