Cinemanila is an annual international film festival established in 1999 screening the best of Philippine independent movies with the world’s best. The true voice of the nation, the festival celebrates films closest to reality. In 2010, Cinemanila created an independent film to promote the film festival. “Sementeryo “ explores the extraordinary stories of ordinary Filipinos living with the dead. Featuring actual residents, the film was shot on location in cemetery at the heart of Metro Manila.
