14,266 calls to the Helpline plus 39,329 views of the “Better Deal” website. 73% of all callers had no previous contact with Macmillan - evidence that we’d broken through to the hard core of those in the high incidence, low income, low awareness trap.Over 100 MPs responded to our email and attended the Parliamentary launch of the Campaign.Our Campaign to journalists also worked with features appearing on BBC Breakfast News, ITN, London Tonight and GMTV plus coverage in most UK newspapers. We even achieved six weeks placement of our posters on the BBC TV’s Eastenders set.
