Tonymoly is one of the rising 'cheap-chic' make-up brands, which represents the republic of Korea. Tonymoly beats many other famous cosmetics in the Republic of Korea. The brand promotes a unique and refined impression, targeting young women of age 18-25.
In year 2011, Tonymoly targeted all Asian markets, including Japan and China, by casting T-ara who is the front-runner amongst Korean pop idols.
This advertisement was motivated by the concept that 'a woman’s face is not a sketchpad'; it contains unique editing effects. This ad gains support from the viewers by symbolizing women using cosmetics, massages, steam, and facial-masks for elasticity and moisturising their skin in the same way that they would handle a sketchpad.Moreover, the slogan of the brand, 'your skin will remember', increased the loyalty of its brand, which increased the purchase of the products.
