It’s amazing what people put online these days. Particularly when it comes to weddings.

With simple search requests we found numerous wedding pictures , dates, names and the grooms work adresses.

Combining these for everyone accessible data enables Dutch online flowershop Bloemen.nl to help out married men.

On their wedding anniversary they found a postcard their with their own wedding photo and a flower suggestion in their mailbox at work. Giving them just enough time to order a bouquet.

Scary? Why? Bloemen.nl received more orders and no complaints. We just saved their arses.

Execution

- Men tend to forget their wedding anniversaries

- People like to share their weddings online with the rest of the world

- Combining information accessible to everyone enables Bloemen.nl to remind married men of their wedding anniversary

- On the actual day of their wedding anniversary the men are still able to order a bouquet via Bloemen.nl, which is delivered the same day.

Outcome

Bloemen.nl received more orders (sales rose from 5,000 bouquets a year to 10,000) and, maybe even more important, no complaints. Proving the fact that the married men in question actually did forget their wedding anniversaries. We just saved their asses.
