In recent years, Molenbeek has received a lot of negative attention.
Deprivation, unemployment, petty crime, riots, radicalisation... were regular features in newspapers and on television. To make matters worse, Molenbeek has become known as a breeding ground for European terrorism, complete with a manhunt and a complete lock-down of Brussels. Suddenly, the whole world knew Molenbeek. And nobody wanted to visit. But despite all the problems, Molenbeek has many positive points and surprising places. On top of that, Donald Trump himself felt the need to refer to Brussels as nothing more than a true “hellhole”. So we decided to show him the guide to visit it.
