To create a stir around Beer Point we have decided to use a sensational newsworthy moment, something Ukrainians were talking about. The news about visa-free travel for Ukrainians has been a headline-making event. The decision of the European Parliament to cancel Schengen visa for Ukrainians entered into force on 11 July. That was a momentous event for the entire country! Since then borders have been opened. Beer Point couldn’t stay on the sidelines of such a milestone in Ukraine's history, since it always defended European beer traditions.

We’ve placed outdoor advertising in Brussels, 2,000 km away from the Ukrainian pub Beer Point! We’ve paid as little as $1,500 for 5 city-lights (for one week) around the building of the European Parliament. Despite the limited number of advertising media, we’ve become noticed. Leaving the European Parliament, MEPs saw our invitation for a free beer.

With this campaign, Beer Point could become a popular and well-known place in Kyiv, but most importantly, has enhanced Ukraine’s image as a European and democratic state.

Our advertising has moved from the Brussels streets to MEPs’ pages in social networks, European and Ukrainian mass media. We’ve got 75,000 likes and 1,000+ shares,150 free media and hit the top news in Ukraine.

The Pub’s seat turnover rate grew from 0.7 to 1.6. The awareness also increased – 80% of its visitors were newcomers. This helps the Pub to become a popular venue in Kyiv! But the main achievement of the campaign is that the Ukrainians were happy and proud of a small pub from Kyiv that has made a stir and was the only one who did say thank you for visa-free travel for Ukraine.
