OVERVIEW

Description

Inspired by Japanese photographers Daido Moriyama and Araki Nobunoshi,“The Sect of Wandering Photographers” deals with the linkage between life and photography. Our protagonist wanders through the streets and alleyways with his camera ready, since he believes that no one could be sure of what is going to happen next, just like no photographer could know when he/she will take the next picture. Photography is not simply a documentation of daily lives, or of anything that is beautiful, as everything will inevitably end; it is rather a series of memories that are imprinted somewhere in your mind, that would come out to haunt you out of the blue.English translation of the script:Like a stray dogI take pictures like I defecate... here, there, everywhere.I wonder if this world is just a graveyardAre we still alive? The Sect of Wandering PhotographersFUJIFILM X100
