Execution

Photos of children jumping up in the air are taken to capture their best moments of smile. We use the Smile Jump Machine, which incorporates a camera that automatically senses and captures the children’s smiling moments in the air, and instantly frames the taken photos against a blue sky background. We visit kindergartens and day-care centers in Fukushima with the machine. By giving the photos as gifts and distributing them among others, children feel happier and regain their positive innocence.

Outcome

·Number of participating children: 2,400 or more

·Number of downloads of smiling photos: 3,000 times or more

·Questionnaire feedback: No less than 95% of respondents felt emotionally comforted or invigorated.
