Only 24 countries worldwide have banned corporal punishment of children. We wanted to create a quick, relevant and emotional picture of the situation from the children’s point of view. A map is something familiar to all people. When you see the map and realize a lot of countries are missing you want to find out why. And when you do, you will take action. And so people did. The result has been better than accepted and the map has created some PR. There has even been some teachers calling asking for maps to use in their tutoring.
