Execution

The idea: the “World Heart Day 2005” will turn to the “Becel Walking Day” in Vienna! The concept: We transform the Wiener Rathausplatz into an event area and the starting point for a charity walk around the Viennese 1st distrcict! The “Austrian Heart Foundation” and the Vienna's Vice Mayor Grete Laska can be motivated as official partners! After this lobbying success the Becel Walking Day quickly takes shape. An unique Walking Day corporate identity is developed! The public call for the Becel Walking Day is delivered through radio, daily and local newspapers and online banners!

Outcome

More than 600 smiling active walkers joining in on the walk around Vienna’s city centre and more than 1,000 visitors gathering in front of the Viennese City Hall for a free health check!Excellent media echo and print coverage! And last but not least a donation worth 10,000 Euros for the Austrian Heart Foundation and for the treatment of cardiovascular diseases.
