Background

Netflix has launched in Thailand for 5 years, but less than 1% of the population are subscribers. To grow its market, we need content that really speaks to Thai people.

Youth social movements are on the rise globally, but in Thailand, the voice of a generation is constantly silenced and jailed.

What if someone could speak up for all the injustice in Thailand and can’t be punished?

Idea

In partnership, the agency became a Netflix original content creator.

Creating an entertainment series that speaks to a nation.

Speak the unspeakable.

Nanno, a character who dares to question all the social issues in Thailand, and speaks up for a whole generation… and most importantly, she cannot be silenced.

Girl From Nowhere SS2, 8 episodes, each episode inspired by real Thai's injustice news. From schools corruption to scandalous hit and run, but this time, the students won’t be silenced.

To speak up for young women on teen pregnancy.

Each episode questioning and correcting the injustice in real news.

And all Thai people can join in and voice their opinions through the character.

The series run as a Netflix Original Series that aired more than 40 countries simultaneously. The contents has been dubbed in to over 20 languages including Japanese, Taiwanese, French and Italian.
