OVERVIEW

Description

The Glorix PleePride: an activiation in which Glorix provided everyone at the Gay Pride festival with a clean toilet experience. The idea: unlocking new bathroom spots by teaming up with local Amsterdam citizens. By supplying them with an amazing toilet cleaning crew, Glorix got citizens to open up their homes and transform their personal toilet into a public toilet (and a medium for Glorix). A simple idea that was all about inclusivity and fun - completely in the spirit of the

Gay Pride itself.

Execution

Two weeks before the Gay Pride event, Glorix launched a platform www.pleepride.com, informing Amsterdam residents about the initiative, asking them to sign up and receive the assistance of our PleePride cleaning crew. Due to theunorthodox initiative and the playful pun in the name (plee – pronounced ‘play’ – is Dutch for potty), the Glorix PleePride was immediately picked up by tons of radio stations and websites.

On the day of the Gay Pride festival, maps, posters and signings were used to guide party people that needed ‘to go’ to the clean bathrooms of local residents who opened up their homes. A team of extravert drag-queens was sent out to host the toilets, serving as toilet-cleaning-ladies. These great girls managed to add an extra layer of enthusiasm to the event, turning a simple toilet visit into a party itself. A party that was celebrated both offline and online.

Outcome

Thousands of cheerful toilet visits. Smiling faces and shiny potties. The Glorix PleePride put Glorix back on the map and got national media coverage - all off this with a tiny budget.
