OVERVIEW

Background

Paris is the one of the most iconic brands in the world. But this unique status means that tourists don’t want the city to change.

However, Paris is always moving, and a new Paris is on the way through the new metro system that will smash the barrier between Paris and its marginalized suburbs.

Thanks to these new lines, a Paris equal in size to London, New York and Shanghai will soon become accessible with a simple metro ticket.

Idea

Go beyond the city to show the wealth of Grand Paris.

We worked with the City of Paris, a number of important partners and Enlarge your Paris to create The Greater Paris guide. A 200-page guide with 190 photos and hundreds of insider tips.

A guide that will reconsider our representation of Paris, a guide to the present and the future.

It introduces a brand-new map of the city, redefining the traditional Parisian areas and cultural scene.

Strategy

We wanted to motivate Parisians and tourists to go beyond the limits of the peripherique.

We needed to show them that Greater Paris is the Paris of tomorrow: more innovative, creative, welcoming, responsible, and sustainable

Execution

The Greater Paris Guide asserts a fresh perspective on the French capital by introducing a brand-new map of the city, redefining the traditional Parisian quartiers and cultural scene.

The map consists of ten neighbourhoods that are a combination of traditional Paris and its lesser-known suburbs. This redefinition tells its own story with Paris now comparable size-wise with Los Angeles, Shanghai, and other world metropolises.

Each one of The Greater Paris Guide’s ten chapters is dedicated to a specific area with more than 300 insider tips on culture, lifestyle, the outdoors, family activities, food and rest.

Over 100 eye-catching signposts took over famous locations in the centre of Paris.

The black and gold signs connect Parisians and visitors alike with neighbourhoods that are often ignored, encouraging the public to experience and share the hidden gems of Greater Paris.

Outcome

10 000 copies available in French and English

200 points of sale in Europe

Over 100 signposts installed all over Paris
