In some ways the "production" process began long before the book itself was conceived. Working closely with Architects Perkins & Will, we envisioned a design for our new workspace that would celebrate our culture and inspire the creativity and passion that makes gyro unique. The rich history of the Wrigley Building, and the beautiful architecture that surrounds it, became the ideal backdrop, visually and symbolically, to bring our culture to life. The creative team researched the architectural history of Chicago with an eye for connections that we could weave into our work space…and use to tell our story within the book. The book features dramatic black and white photography and graphic design that casts gyro Chicago as both a part of and a product of Chicago's proud history.
Outcome
The book is available in our lobby and shared with clients, prospects, and employees. We believe it has been very effective as a vehicle to express our brand and culture, and a helpful 'calling card' we can leave our visitors with.
