Description
The HandMade World was an animation produced through the collaboration between the Döhler brand and the consumers of its embroidery products. And the participation of is consumers was only possible through an activation strategy that valued their talents. The strategy was to build an network of embroiderers (consumers) to, with constant interaction and feedbacks, coordinate the making of the world's first embroidery animation.
Execution
The hand-made World is a project which involved more than 500 embroiderers from across Brazil. These Brazilian hands embroidered and gave life to the world's first embroidery animation. The project started to take shape in the hands of an artist, who developed the illustrations to give the film its distinctive visual appeal. Numbers: 10 million stitches,1267 pieces of embroidery, 144 colors, 700 days of production, 587 embroiderers from 20 states and 167 cities.
Outcome
The animation had more than 2 million views, and appeared in dozens of newspapers, TV programs and websites generating more than US$ 700K in spontaneous media. It also was tremendously shared in social networks. Through its positive message and innovative technique, the film strenghtened the brand's relationship with its customers, and lead to a 21% increase in sales of embroidery products.
Beyond that, we also achieved other great results:
