We had to find a concept linked to the UEFA Champions League Sponsorship and produce a TV Spot to launch it.We had the idea of making consumers interact with the brand in bars or at home in a different football game. We named it "Fingerbol" (translated as "Fingerball" in common "Spanglish“): a pair of small sized plastic football boots, a goal and a ball to play football with the fingers. We used this element in a promotional spot and as the creative nexus for all activities from pack added value promotion to young activities in the on-trade
Outcome
The promotion is still running at the moment of submitting the entry.Throughout all activities, consumers can win a trip and tickets for the final game of the UEFA Champions League Paris, 17th May 2006. 17th May will also be the final date of the promotion. We have had positive feedback and comments from Heineken, the trade, and consumers. Also, Heineken informed us that the On Trade sales are increasing significantly, and the off trade rotation is higher than in other promotional periods.
