OVERVIEW

Execution

People in Germany traditionally clear out their homes, emptying old possessions onto the street. Passers-by rummage through and take what they find useful until everything is collected by the local council.

This was an ideal medium for the charity Malteser. Life-size posters of old people were left with these spare furnishings asking passers-by for their support. The cardboard sign doubles as a dispenser for flyers with the headline, "Take me with you. I’m still useful".

Outcome

In the first day Malteser received approxiamtely 50 calls with 15 new volunteers offering their services. This result was achieved without any airing costs and can be repeated whenever there is need for more help.
