Description
After a visit to the local aquarium, a couple realize their daughter is newly enchanted with hippopotamuses. They plot to give her as many hippopotamus-themed gifts as they can find for Christmas.
All of this is scored to Gayla Peevy's 1953 novelty holiday hit, "I Want A Hippopotamus For Christmas".
The United States Postal Service delivers more e-commerce packages to homes than anyone. So they are part of the couple's scheme to ensure their daughter has as many hippo-themed gifts as possible.
Each parent makes e-commerce purchases of a hippo-themed gift for their daughter. These moments are intercut with moments of the USPS making these deliveries happen.
On Christmas morning, the packages are waiting for the daughter. But as she tears open the hippo-themed gifts she spots a deer in the window. The parents exchange a look as they know their girl is about to embark on a new obsession.
