Execution
By mounting the posters on the inside of elevator doors the message becomes more than just written words. By comparing the space of the elevator with the space of a prison cell, the whole room becomes part of the media and makes the message touchable. The passenger receives an understandable and lasting impression of how it feels to be arrested without any reason.
Outcome
Overall Amnesty International collected more than 2,000 signatures for petitions and attracted about 10 new sustaining members. Measured by the low price for printing and mounting the posters it was a very successful promotion.
