Background
In order to promote the new Fiat 500 electric, Fiat developed especially designed power outlets inspired in the car's iconic lines. The Fiat 500 is a design icon admired throughout the world. And we couldn't let its new electric version be charged in just any old and boring power outlet.
Idea
We created the Fiat 500e Iconic Wall Sockets. A line of exclusive power outlets inspired in the iconic design of the Fiat 500, sporting the same cool looks as the car whose design has won the hearts of generations.
Strategy
In order to promote the new Fiat 500 electric, Fiat turned power outlets into OOH media. The Fiat 500 is a design icon admired throughout the world. And we couldn't let its new electric version be charged in just any old and boring power outlet. So we created the Fiat 500e Iconic Wall Sockets. A line of exclusive power outlets inspired in the iconic design of the Fiat 500, sporting the same cool looks as the car whose design has won the hearts of generations. These power outlets were given to the first buyers of the Fiat 500e, and installed in cell phone charging stations, Fiat dealerships, and vehicle recharging stations in parking lots, airports, and other public spaces, all to promote the new 500e in a unique and creative way: by using the very power sources that charge the car.
Execution
Each of the power outlets features exclusive art created by different designers, with their individual interpretation of the iconic look of the Fiat 500 electric.
Outcome
These power outlets were not only given to the first buyers of the Fiat 500e, but were installed in cell phone charging stations, Fiat dealerships, and vehicle recharging stations in parking lots, airports, and other
