Description

The film follows our closest relatives, a troop of wild monkeys, as they discover something extraordinary in the middle of their jungle home. A playground like nothing they've seen before. Things pop, slide, turn and spin. They explore drawers and cupboards, each filled with surprises just for them. It doesn’t take long for their curiosity to turn into utter delight. And when things get a little out of hand, the story rewinds back to where it all began. A pristine kitchen just waiting to played in.

Outcome

Challenges in production began with finding a sanctuary to work closely with; a place where the animals were rescued, well treated and being rehabilitated to go back into the wild. We also wanted to find a sanctuary where different species of monkey lived together in harmony - something quite rare. The personalities of the people at the sanctuary were also important, as beyond the main TVC, we created a series of documentaries featuring them. Due to the unpredictable nature of the shoot, we had many different cameras rolling and collected over 200 hours worth of footage. This created a wealth of opportunity, but also a meant the editing process was a huge challenge.
