OVERVIEW

Description

'Lobola' is a custom in Southern Africa where the groom 'pays' his bride's father in heads of cattle for the privilege of her hand in marriage. To convey our message, 'get instant access to cash', we told the story of a man who is planning to ask his girlfriend's father for her hand in marriage. Our character happens to be a white man who does not fully understand the implications of lobola. His girlfriend's name is Princess and our character only finds out at the end of the commercial that she is actually a daughter of a king - an actual princess. It then dawns on him that his lobola-payment will then be exponentially higher as he is marrying a princess. At this moment of revelation our message appears onscreen: "Need instant cash?"
