OVERVIEW

Description

The Empty Shop was launched in 2013. The next level: to transform a store into a brand. That's the goal for The Empty Project. An open-source platform for co-creating sustainable ideias, reinventing new donation collection formats and spreading those ideas to the world.

Execution

The Empty Project platform makes it possible to monitor new projects popping up around the world, submit new sustainable ideas and co-creations, and even download free of charge the blueprint for each project in order to duplicate the idea. The landing page offers horizontal and vertical navigation, and responsive information resizing design to help visitors keep up with both the latest news and the sustainable projects co-created around the world .

Outcome

All the ideas for The Empty Project platform are open-source projects, available free of charge at theemptyproject.com and scalable around the world under the terms of the Creative Commons® License. So far, The Empty Project platform has co-created three new donation collection formats: The Empty Shop, The Empty Toy Shop and The Empty Bookshop. It has also launched eight The Empty Shops around the world, collecting more than 16 tons of clothes donated.
