Background

In Mexico City, Vans created a space where skateboarding and music coexist, allowing people to enjoy both in one place: House of Vans Ciudad de México. For the launch campaign, we needed to visually encapsulate that House of Vans is a space where skateboarding and music converge.

Solution: We looked at instruments used by the bands performing at House of Vans, such as guitars, pianos, and basses. Upon closer inspection, we noticed that their interiors bore striking similarities to the various skate parks found within House of Vans. This creative analogy became the catalyst for crafting these pieces, where we see skate parks nestled inside musical instruments.

Achievements: Since the inception of this graphic campaign, registrations for House of Vans events have surged by +237%, and the @houseofvanscdmx Instagram account has doubled its followers, reaching an impressive 95k followers

Execution

The interior of the musical instruments was built from scratch using 3D CGI modeling. Once the structure was ready, we began photo retouching to find the perfect environment, color temperature, and desired atmosphere. In the piece, we wanted photography to take center stage, because the image would convey everything.
