People know about the Yellow Ribbon Project but limit their 'involvement' to simply buying a yellow ribbon or attending an event for insipid reasons such as a goodie bag. There is more talk than action.
Therefore, the starting point of YRP 2008 was to address this 'non-action' attitude of the general public. Because for YRP to be truly successful, the public has to play its part in the rehabilitation and reintegration of ex-offenders back into society. Hence, the line ‘Beyond Just Words’.
