OVERVIEW

Background

With her unique musical repertoire and contagious personality, IZA is one of the few artists able to cross bridges and unite new popular rhythms in Brazil. In 2021, IZA was chosen twice by Spotify to be featured in projections at Times Square.With this project, IZA planned to set a high standard for the quality of music videos as well as reaffirm herself as one of the biggest pop artists in Brazil.

Idea

“Sem Filtro” opens the door to the retrofuturistic universe of IZA. The music video, directed by Felipe Sassi and scripted by IZA, introduces a particular and visually unique universe. The music video addresses different perspectives and scenarios narrating the story of a woman played by IZA who takes on a more fatal and closed persona for love. The choreography and ballet were composed by some of the best names in the world. The song was created with a team of specialists in Brazilian rhythms and great names in the R&B industry.

Strategy

he main strategy for the music video release was to establish a connection between the fans and the universe of SEM FILTRO, which unraveled into a lot of actions to connect fans and this theme. For example, a 3D digital avatar of the IZA was created for interaction with fans as well as some 3D digital contents posted on her social networks.

Execution

The music video was recorded in São Paulo - Brazil, over the course of 2 days in the second semester of 2021. However, it has been planned since the middle of the year. The postproduction took up to 01 month until the music video was ready to be released. Professionals who worked with the creation of 3D elements were involved to both add elements to the video music and to create promotional pieces and fan engagement content with the theme of the universe of “Sem Filtro”. The goal was to familiarize the public with this universe that was created.

Outcome

The release of the music video was resounding, debuting on the biggest radio stations and TV channels in the country, entering the charts of several DSPs and remaining on the charts until today on some platforms. Featured in the main news portals in the country. The clip has more than 19 million views on Youtube, more than 30,000 video creations on TikTok and Instagram with the audio of the song. Featured in Times Square by Spotify's EQUAL program. We had several actions to engage the public with the Unfiltered universe in the main cities in Brazil.
