OVERVIEW

Idea

This Jeep Iconography experiential design project was primarily targeted at automobile aficionados, and SUV enthusiasts in particular, who were used to driving their vehicles in and around the city, oblivious to the thrill and excitement that a real SUV like Jeep can indulge them in. For this, we drew inspiration from hundreds of indigenous symbols and native elements from different regions around the world where the Jeep can take you to. And recreated the iconic design of the Jeep front grill with an experiential surround soundtrack that truly elevated the visual language. This simplistic choreography of these unique elements animated to the rousing beats of an original soundscape was used as a trigger to test drive the new Jeep Compass by elevating the experience of adventure and audacity that Jeep is all about.

Execution

Staying true to the Jeep’s spirit of discovery, the iconography design project was created by exploring hundreds of indigenous symbols and native elements from its world. It was then used an interesting trigger to test drive the new Jeep Compass 2021. While seeded online in social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram, the audio visual experience was also played live in Celica Jeep showrooms during Jeep Compass test drives. This original iconography design ushered people into the world of Jeep as they felt butterflies in their gut and excitement in their heartbeat with the roar of the Jeep every time they came in to test drive the vehicle at the showroom. A one-of-a-kind experience to make you fall in love with it because wherever in the world you go, there’s only one Jeep.
