Description
By releasing the album through an app only available in the woods, we where also activating the audience to experience the art of the band further more. Their music is about the human connection with the woods, and the ambivalence between civilisation and the nature. The listeners took the opportunity to really listen to the album, alone in the woods.
Execution
When bands and artist make their music more available for every day, we made the total opposite. Reinventing how audio media could be used. And creating a unique experience for the audio listeners. It's only you, the music and the woods.
Outcome
The band was previously only known in their small hometown. After the album release national newspapers, tv and radio talked about the band, something they never would have done without the app. The band got several concert bookings from all around Sweden. And ever more amazing, the album release was written about in 7 different counties, including UK, India, USA, Turkey and France. But best of all: A lot of people discovered their music.
