OVERVIEW

Description

We want people to consider buying LEGO for their kids, as an alternative to high-tech toys. Show them how LEGO can transform an ordinary situation into a world of fun.

Execution

It made perfect sense to reconstruct a small part of the world using LEGO. And of course show how much more fun that world is.We photographed, surveyed and meticulously measured Adshels to create detailed and highly accurate drawings of each Adshel location. We then used those drawings as templates upon which we rebuilt each scene, entirely from LEGO. We designed them such that the LEGO posters within each Adshel formed a seamless continuation of the scenes behind them. Finally, using 97,096 pieces of LEGO and the help of a LEGO-certified artist, we built the posters over several days.

Outcome

Videos and images of the posters taken by passers by, popped up all over local forums and blogs.

Due to the number of inquiries at various toy stores from people wanting to buy LEGO kits of the poster creatures, LEGO are even looking into producing them for sale.
