Description

LEVI'S have put together this great short documentary to explore the history of the iconic 501 silhouette and it's influential role in popular culture.

Born on the 20th of May back in 1873, the style remains an icon over 140 years later. From it's origins as a utilitarian garment for workers to being adopted by those in the fashion world or being donned as a symbol of counterculture and rebellion by some of the worlds biggest rockstars, many great things have been done while rocking a pair of Levi's 501. This documentary dives into revealing the storied history of the 501.

The documentary was narrated by Ramblin Jack Elliott and includes interviews with Henry Rollins, John Baldessari, Erin Wasson, Gary Burden, Andy Spade, Mark McNairy, Eddie Huang, Steven Alan, Jim Walrod, Kim Hastreiter, Mel Ottenberg, Scott Schuman, Lee Ranaldo, Darren Romanelli, Greg Chapman, Hal Fischer, Rachel Wang, and many more.
