Description

Whalar enables scaled collaborations between brands and creators with influence. This can crudely be broken down into three components:

- Part search/dating; our AI lead algorithm that discovers and matches influencers to a brief from dozens of data points.

- Part marketplace; our platform that enables the transaction between brands and influencers.

- Part workflow; our toolset that makes multimarket scaled collaborations manageable.

Collaborating with this community enables brands to adopt a nimbler creative operating model, with greater inclusion of diverse creative voices and delivering the scale of work needed for today’s evermore personalized and fast-moving world of marketing. The fact that it’s fast and very cost effective is the icing on the cake.

A Whale call can travel 10,000 miles under the ocean and be heard by other Whales. Thanks to Whalar, brands can now collaborate with influencers to create messages that will be heard just as far away!

Execution

Our technology stack consists of:

Discovery crawler – our solution to discover this new global creative community.

Influence analyzer – our solution to apply weighted analysis and ascertain who are the real creators with influence.

Matchmaking algorithm - our solution to take dozens of data points from a client brief, including audience demographics, desired creative output and brand aesthetic to shortlist the right creators with influence for each campaign.

Pricing algorithm – our solution which provides a suggested pricing range for each influencer collaboration based on the specifics of that collaboration and historical data of all collaborations.

Transactional toolset – our solution that powers the payment flow, contracting, rights management and invoicing requirements to ensure straightforward procurement.

Workflow toolset – our solution (desktop/mobile platform/app) that powers the briefing, messaging, work submission and analysis that makes a single campaign involving 100’s of influencers in global markets possible and easily manageable with the delivery of consistency.

Impact measurement – our solution that analyzes the influencer impact of the marketing if and when and influencer has shared content with their audience.

Machine learning & data analysis – our overarching analysis that takes all data to apply past learnings for iterative future performance improvements.

Outcome

In just 2 years our platform has made more than $8m of collaborations possible. Enabling creators, from all walks of life, to do what they love, brands to produce content they’re proud of, and the audience to engage with content and discover brands that are truly relevant to them.

We've become the Facebook, Instagram and Snapchat official partner for influencers, have advertising legend Sir John Hegarty as Chairman, have funding from more than 30 industry veterans and work with 100’s of brands including the likes of Unilever, Diageo, Estee Lauder, Nike, Apple, Unicef, Ralph Lauren and LVMH.

We’re on track for 4x – 5x growth this year and we hope for our technology to be a catalyst for transformation of the industry with Whalar being the embedded solution that makes it possible…we’re on a mission to Liberate the Creative Voice.
