Description
The video follows Scott Crowe who talks about the importance of the Life Happens Organization, how they are celebrating their 20th anniversary and how their information helped him and his family.
Execution
October 14, 2014 was the 20th anniversary of our organization so that date became the goal for completion. The marketing plan began with finding an eye-catching direct mail piece that could house a video. We then designed the box, inserts and foldout timeline. Simultaneously, we worked with our video firm to develop a creative video that would be loaded into the mailer. From there, we developed a digital version of the timeline that lives on our website while also preparing a press release announcing the anniversary and linking to the video / timeline.
Outcome
The results were great especially the feedback from the industry. For example, one CEO that received the mailer immediately emailed our CEO, saying, "The video piece you sent out with the timeline was highly impactful and creative… Kudos to you and all of the staff. You have not had an easy job these last few years, but you and the team have not quit and been relentless in continuing to be advocates for the industry…" A reporter also received the mailer and wrote an article about it titled, “The Coolest Life Insurance Marketing EVER”. We also saw traffic to our website increase by 60 percent.
