Execution

We let our fans, music bloggers and journalists reveal the line-up by going head to head in a Live Quiz Release. It took place at Stockholm's biggest outdoor nightclub and was streamed live on Popaganda's website. 3 bands performed cover versions of songs by the artists booked. For every song, the first person who tweeted the correct artist name and tagged it #popa13 won a ticket to the festival. Every guess tweeted helped build hype and interest around Popaganda's line-up. Soon #popa13 tended on Twitter making Popaganda the most talked about music festival in Sweden.

Outcome

Over 1,000 people attended the event and more than 3,500 took part online. In just an hour, #popa13 became the 3rd ranked trend in Sweden giving a total reach of 123,997 users. The release resulted in 196 media exposures May–June 2013 (compared to 28 exposures May–June 2012). Ticket sales for the period May 30 to August 1 were up 264% compared to Popaganda's previous record.
