Background
Women in history are under-represented in books, movies, conversations. Flashback, a Prime Video movie, wanted to put under the spotlights those women, and show how our society and women rights have evolved thanks to them.
Idea
For the launch of the new Prime Video film 'Flashback', the story of Charlie, a woman trapped in a time travel loop through the History of France, Prime Video has collaborated with the prestigious museum Le Louvre-Lens for an unexpected exhibition with reproduction of real master paintings by an official copyist where the main character from the movie was painted into the scenes.
Strategy
Flashback is a smart-comedy with a real topic about feminism, and the role of women through history. This campaign had to highlight this historical side in a non-boring way. PR and viewers saluted the initiative and the boldness of the stunt, directly hosted in one of the most famous museum in the world.
Execution
We partnered with an official Louvre-Copyist to reproduce famous paintings of Great Women in the History of France using the exact same techniques as the original painters to reproduce every detail, except for one: Charlie, the character of the film hidden in the scenes.
Visitors to the Louvre-Lens discovered these paintings during a 2-day exhibition on the Great Women of the History of France.
Outcome
The exhibition took place during 2 days in the Louvre museum visited by 10.000 visitors/day.
The stunt video was shared online (Instagram, Youtube, Twitter) by thousands viewers.
