The aim was to convey an honest interpretation of what living together and love are, how real soul mates are not just those who have a lot in common but also those who manage despite what they do NOT have in common.

The film ends with them drinking wine together.

We were looking for a popular song about being made for one another. Kiss’ ¨I was made for loving you¨ was perfect.

Its lyrics are so clear that it allowed us to contrast the words with what we were seeing, which is that actually the characters don’t seem to be quite made for each other. We wanted the couple to sing in a realistic way, like when we’re singing around the house and no one’s listening, in order to contribute to the feeling of real, honest living together that we wanted the commercial to have.
