The music and sound design was created with emotion, simplicity and vulnerability in mind. In the film, the robot is portrayed as a living creature. Because of this take on the sound, it is almost as if we can feel his heartbeat and sense his breathing.

The music naturally changes throughout the film to tell our story. When the dancer is woken by the robot, the music transforms from emotional to energetic. She is awake, dancing, full of curiosity. The sound then follows the dancer on her journey, learning from the robot and seeking connection. The music continues to build until reaching a high, when we visually see her leap into the air in an attempt to make contact.

When the dancer is finally caught, the music comes full circle. We end with the same simple tones that we started with. The status quo is restored: short but unforgettable.
