M&M Auto redefined its image and the SUV market in India with the launch of the Mahindra XUV 5OO. The vehicle revolutionized the SUV market and was being showcased at the Ne Delhi Auto Expo 2012. We created an Augmented Reality campaign that brought to life the inspiration behind the XUV 5OO- The Cheetah. The Cheetah not only roamed around the actual car, but also interacted with spectators who visited the stall. Needless to say, a life size Cheetah, roaming around the Auto Expo was the talk of the Auto Expo, as well as youtube, Twitter and Facebook.

Outcome

This is one of the first times that such an AR campaign has been brought to life giving the consumers at the show a lifetime memory. Those attending Auto Expo experiences AR first hand, where they could virtually experience cheetah by their side, including petting the wild animal! By standing on the floor, a big screen over the XUV shows a cheetah walking in and standing next to the visitor. It shows the visitor with the car and the cheetah with a watermark on the image – Me with the cheetah! - XUV500.
