Description
We took advantage of the daily exercises of all Rio de Janeiro’s military troops to create a new media. Instead of singing their regular marching songs they sang ours. A song that urges the population do donate blood.
Execution
All military troops of Rio de Janeiro adopted the song that urges the population to donate blood as their new training song. They will never stop singing it so we have a permanent media that runs daily all over the city, reaching great part of the population.
Outcome
Until now the song reached over 1.200.000 people, an average of the number of pedestrians that walk the streets the troops exercise daily. Beyond that, we managed to reverse blood blanks shortage increasing in 600% once the idea was implemented. Since the Marching for Help was adopted permanently by all military troops these numbers won’t stop growing.
