Description
The Baby Doll intrigues, fascinates, because she’s not what you think she is. She seduces effortlessly, almost naïve – but she is well aware of her power. She knows how to captivate, using only her gaze – and her mascara, as a secret weapon. Daring, she plays a game always on the edge of danger.
The film, shot in black and white, is close to a traditional beauty film. It edited in two different rythms: a sequence shot where you can see the Babydoll putting on her make up very slowly - and then a series of images suddenly interrupting the shot. Those images evoke her life, her thoughts. They collide in her mind to create surprising aesthetic clashes.
