Description
The film introduces a different kind of product: a maternity package for an 11-year-old girl. The film opens with bright colours and cheerful music in a style suggesting a video for a joyful baby product, but quickly becomes darker as the horrific reality of child pregnancies is made clear.
The video explains each item in the package, including a "how to take care of your baby" picture book with no written text – because most under age mothers cannot read. The box holding the materials can be repurposed as beds for the baby and mother, since both are at risk of abandonment by their families – or repurposed as coffins, since there is a high risk that both mother and baby could die during childbirth.
The film ends by sharing the horrific fact every year 2 million girls under 15 become mothers.
