Background
McDonald's is a global brand. But sources its ingredients locally. In Switzerland 8700 Swiss farmers produce these ingredients so McDonald's and thereby make the supply chain of McDonald's more sustainable. To showcase this, we were briefed to do a print/poster ad.
The budget was 10k CHF for production.
Idea
To show the sustainable and regional supply chain of McDonald's we created a visual homage of the most iconic product – the Big Mac. And turned it into a field that is harvested by a farmer on his tractor to reach all Swiss consumers.
Execution
Based on a photography of a field we crafted it in 3D further and added little hay-balls to simulate the sesame-seeds of the Big Mac. Also we did retouched the colours to get closer to the Big Mac and changed the order of the levels to make it match the Big Mac. And brought it on a Poster & a Print AD.
Shown on 20 Minuten Switzerlands biggest Newspaper this AD got seen by nearly 3M people. And the poster flighted on 926 places nationwide.
Outcome
In the Newspaper we reached approaximately 3M Swiss people and with our 927 Poster-Flight
The poster has been well received on Social Media as well. And received 1600 Likes on LinkedIn, 1750 on Instagram and has been even showcased on reddit with 600 upvotes.
