Background
After a two-year festival break, even more people are celebrating at the Open Airs throughout Switzerland this summer. McDonald's is there for fans on their way to or from the different festivals - and wants to underline it's connection to entertainment and culture.
Idea
The stars of different summer festivals were turned into fans of McDonald's.
Strategy
McDonald's had and will always have a strong connection to culture and entertainment.
Execution
The hijacking campaign was On Air at the biggest summer festivals in Switzerland, on 101 Billboards - with special placements close around the festival locations. From 06.06.2022 to 13.08.2022.
Outcome
In 8 weeks the 101 billboards reached over 500k festival fans, let people with a smile and celebrated the artists, which lead to an increase of visitors around the festivals and has also a long term positive business impact.
