To replicate a live broadcast of the cricket, we meticulously crafted every sonic element to create a convincing soundscape of the game. We went into the minutiae of cricket sounds by deconstructing a real broadcast and replicated every detail; from studs scraping on the pitch, bats tapping and the ruffling of pads. We even considered where players would be standing in relation to the stump mic by using binaural recording methods.

We simulated a live broadcast setting by creating our own foley of crowd sounds sourced directly from the MCG (Melbourne Cricket Ground). Used broadcast accurate equipment (lip microphone) to record our commentator and a bud microphone, the same used for stump mics, to record the cricket players.

The radio spots were mastered with a ​​deferred live and broadcast audio frequency white noise to mimic the sonic qualities heard on live broadcasts.
