Description
Bombay Elektrik Project, a cultural event company, asked us to promote their upcoming event: Monday Night Slam, a platform for poets, musicians and writers to come forth and showcase their talent.
Execution
To promote Monday Night Slam we did a series of print ads. And then took it a step further. We brought a print ad to life through a live, interactive installation done on the 27th of December 2010 at Cafe Goa. A Facebook invite was sent to all fans of Bombay Elektrik Project a week before the installation. At Cafe Goa, the Get It Out puppet actually performed poetry, and therefore demonstrated the essence of what the night is about. The puppet also handed out cards telling people about Monday Night Slam on 3rd January 2011.
Outcome
The installation attracted a huge Bombay Elektrik fan base from Facebook. It successfully introduced and described the essence of Monday Night Slam, which has now, due to its popularity, become a weekly event held by The Bombay Elektrik Projekt.
