Various dental practices – from tooth extraction to orthodontic treatment – are increasingly being performed by unlicensed dentists in the Philippines. These illegal practices do not only harm legitimate practitioners but also lower the quality of dental healthcare. Among the examples are loose-fitting dentures. For the National Association of Dental Traders Inc, this situation requires immediate action.

To educate Filipinos about the importance of consulting professional dentists, a radio campaign was made to demonstrate the effects of wearing loose-fitting dentures given by unlicensed practitioners.
