Description
A story about a mother’s devotion to her son reveals in the web film, as the mother presents her diary to a daughter- in-law. In the diary, the exquisite records of how her son has grown up are a clear refection of mother’s intension to do her best in childcare. Not only the diary records the first can of milk drank by the young son, her attempt to bake him a birthday cake and her worry of not being able to know about his eating situation while he was away at the Boy Scout camp, it also keeps great details of all her son’s favorite menus and disliked food. Eventually, when the son gets to read the diary, he is forever touched by mother’s great care that starts from just the small bites.
Execution
We used the web film to tell the story of a mother’s devotion to her child, and her belief that “great care starts with small bites” since the day one he was born. After watching the film, viewers can click the link at the end scene to join ‘Share Your Bites’, the Facebook activity that people can share their messages of care to their love ones in order to start the change with small bites. Nestle will pick the impressive messages to create the one-of-a-kind Nestle products with personalized messages and send to their love ones right to hand.
Outcome
The web film has hit home with Thai consumers at 1 million views on YouTube, 5 million views in totalfrom all online channels with more than 50 million impressions. The complete view rate is more than 50% over standard benchmark. The facebook activity has got more than 5,000 consumers to participate in order to win 50 prizes. Moreover, the story has inspired real consumer and she has featured the true story about her mom’s diary to pantip, the most popular public forum which topic becomes highest suggestion by viewers until getting featured in news channel on Thai PBS TV.
